Westminster-Canterbury buys Lynnhaven Fishing Pier

From the Pilotonline.com:

“We have talked to each other back and forth informally for almost 20 years, but this year, we have put a deal together that we can both live with,” wrote Hoyt Duff, who is married to the woman whose father helped build the pier.

  1. More of the beach is being bought up for high-rise rental units, so we are making Shore Drive more of a valley between buildings then ever. Obviously, the marketing model must be profitable for the owners or they would not build, BUT those buildings need to be more substantial than brick and stick 5 story wooden shells like the recent construction along Shore Drive adjacent to Lesner Bridge. I think we should expect durable quality structures that will retain their values for more than 15 years and add quality to this city.
